1946
Just returned from World War II, founder Maxwell Brown opens an accounting and taxation firm in Shepparton, named after its founder.
After helping local Shepparton businesses and families for a decade, Peter Mountjoy joins the firm, and it becomes Maxwell Brown & Mountjoy (MB & M).
1957
1983
Following the retirement of Maxwell Brown in 1981, Peter Mountjoy also retires from the firm, which continues to support Shepparton businesses and families.
After nearly 50 years, the Melbourne office opens in Oakleigh after purchasing a deceased estate business.
1993
2006
Current partner, Narelle Pesavento becomes the first female partner in the firm’s history.
The Melbourne office separates from its parent firm and becomes known as MB+M Business Solutions Melbourne, proudly owned and led by Narelle Pesavento and Rodney Miller.

Josh Pennell, who started out working part-time after school in the Shepparton office 20 years earlier replaces Rod Miller as a partner after spending a decade as a Financial Advisor at other firms.
MB+M Business Solutions Melbourne rebrands under the new name, Prosper Advisory.

Narelle Pesavento
Director
Narelle is a Chartered Accountant and has 15 years experience working with business owners to provide motivation and direction to help them reach their personal and business goals.
Narelle isn’t just about tax compliance, her astute business advisory skills are a key facet of her service. This also includes business valuations, succession planning and assisting with the process of selling a business.
In addition, she ensures accurate and effective administration of Self Managed Superannuation Funds to help her clients meet their trustee obligations and maximise their SMSF outcomes.

He is passionate about helping people achieve the financial success & freedom they deserve and provides professional advice to ensure you will do just that.
